PALCS is excited to announce that the next high school extended stay trip will be to Eastern Europe! A group of PALCS high school students and teachers will be traveling to Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Hungary in June of 2019. As the group travels, they will learn about the Iron Curtain and World War II, see Gothic cathedrals, and explore vibrant cities.
On April 7, 2018, the PALCS Center for Performing Arts (CPFA) Jazz Mavericks made a trip to New York City to participate in their first overnight performance trip. They attended the NYC Jazz Festival at the historic Apollo Theater, located in Harlem.
This past year, the University Scholars Program (USP) had some amazing trips and educational journeys that brought them up and down the East Coast: north to New York and south to the Florida Keys, and several places in between!
At the beginning of August, a group of adventure-seeking PALCS students and high school science teacher Mrs. Emily Intelicato made their way to the Galapagos Islands for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The 10 day trip allowed students to walk in Darwin’s footsteps to explore the historic islands and sites.
As a cyber school, many are surprised to learn that we hold several educational trips every year. We hold multiple field trips (day trips) every month, though this post is referring to extended stay trips that can take you around the world or even just a few hours away.
