Brief Biography: Ms. Harris brought much experience to PALCS when she started here in 2005, having taught children from preschool through middle school and multi-age primary grades, from rural and suburban areas to Indian reservations, and small agricultural, migrant towns. She also taught multiple subjects including middle school history, English, and a science program for gifted and talented students. Across Colorado and Wyoming to Pennsylvania, she has over two decades of teaching experience.
Teaching is truly a passion for Ms. Harris and has been throughout her professional career, as she continually strives to make a difference in the lives of children. She served as the PALCS Elementary Coordinator for some time, which she found to be “a great opportunity to partner with parents in the education of their children, work to create an outstanding elementary program, and team with an amazing group of professionals who embrace the joy and challenge of teaching children online.”
Ms. Harris now enjoys serving new teachers as the K-12 Induction Program Facilitator. She finds the opportunity to run seminars and a mentor program quite rewarding, as she works to guide and support young educators in launching their professional careers.
