But when given the opportunity to return to PALCS as a teacher, she knew she had to take it. Ms. DeGuzman loved PALCS as a student and loves it as a teacher too. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, writing, photography, and riding and showing horses. She is currently pursuing higher education at the graduate level.
Vision for PALCS: “I value how teaching at PALCS lets me focus on meeting individual student needs and developing strong curriculum. These two things are what I most love about teaching, and cyber education puts them at the forefront, especially a school like PALCS where teachers develop their own curriculum. Cyber education privileges learning for teachers and students. Do I miss signing bathroom and hall passes? No way!”
