Brief Biography: “I became a School Counselor because I wanted to work in a field where I could help people,” says Ms. Selby. “There are so many job fields that help people, so it was hard at first for me to decide. Throughout high school I saw the help that school counselors can offer, the positive impact that they can have, and the support that they can offer students in self-discovery. Observing and experiencing the levels of impact a school counselor can have on a student’s life helped me to decide that this was the job field for me.”
