Brief Biography: Following in the footsteps of both her parents who are teachers, Ms. Anthony started off her teaching career in Chicago Public Schools, teaching high school math on the west and south sides of the city. She thought she would eventually go back to engineering, but fell in love with teaching math and her life – changing interactions with high schools students. At her second school, she developed a love of working with teachers as the Math Department Chair. She joined Noble Charter Schools as a junior math teacher and transitioned into a role as Dean of Math Instruction. After 16 years in Chicago public education, including 8 years as an instructional coach, Ms. Anthony and her family have moved back to the east coast to be closer to her family. She is excited to continue to share her love of teaching STEM when working with teachers at PALCS. Ms. Anthony is also very excited to introduce her husband and two children to the east coast and the beauty of having so many big cities and the beach close by.
