Biography: Ms. Cerynik grew up in California and began writing poetry in middle school. She has always enjoyed reading and word craft, intrigued by the power of the written word.
Ms. Cerynik has worked with children and families for over 25 years. In 1998, she graduated from William Paterson University in New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing. At that time, she also completed the university’s teacher training program and was certified to teach in New Jersey. Upon moving to Pennsylvania in 2004, she obtained her Teaching Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Linda has classroom experience from preK through grade 12.
Ms. Cerynik varied teaching experience has included the homeschool community. She and her husband home educated their children for 15 years and were heavily involved in the homeschool community. Since 2009, she also offered state required year-end homeschool evaluations to dozens of families.
Ms. Cerynik and her husband Doug have three sons. Their youngest son is currently enrolled in PALCS University Scholars Program. Their two oldest sons have graduated from the program. With her experience as a PALCS parents, she hopes to contribute to a community that has been a great benefit to her own family. She hopes to engage students and provide space for their exploration of ideas. Her passion is to see children thrive, find purpose, and grow in their ability to effectively communicate.
