Brief Biography: BCIT was not Julie’s first choice for certification; however, after looking back at the last 30 years, she realized her entire life centered around the business world. From her first job at Taco Bell to moving on to McDonald’s and expanding further into the business world of Assistant Store Manager at a convenience store paved the way to employment at various Title agencies, eventually leading to her opening a family home daycare. In the end, BCIT was the perfect certification to acquire from IUP.
Looking into the future at PALCS, developing engaging, real-world life scenarios is at the top of the list for her students. Students need to be aware of how lessons in the classroom relate to life after school, revealing the importance of the material taught here and now.
Julie is an avid runner, completing over 20 marathons, numerous half-marathons, and too many to remember 5ks. When not running, you can find her curled up in her chair reading, watching tv, or playing Township on her phone as she snuggles with her dogs and cat.
