Brief Biography: “I believe I was born with a passion for education,” says Ms. Dougherty. “I was the kid in class who loved school, loved my teachers, and loved to learn. As an adult, this is still true. I never want to stop learning. I am grateful for my education and I feel privileged that I now get to teach and inspire young minds.” Ms. Dougherty graduated from Temple University in 2012 with a BS in education. In 2020, she earned her M.Ed from West Chester University. Before coming to PALCS, she worked as a Pre-K Counts teacher in West Philadelphia, then moved on to teach elementary school students, primarily in the Springfield School District located in Delaware County. “My interest in education and technology brought me to PALCS. Here at PALCS I hope to influence all students to become lifelong learners. I am excited to be a part of a school that a focuses on leadership.”
