Brief Biography: Ms. Sammarone was born and raised in West Chester, PA and is excited that her teaching career has brought her back to her roots from Pittsburgh. Ms. Sammarone enjoys thinking about how social studies is an academic subject that can be used to help us make sense of news stories and all else that is happening in the world. She also enjoys being tasked with providing students with the tools to become informed and active citizens.

Ms. Sammarone completed her student teaching at Franklin Regional Senior High School. There, she grew her specific interests in the field of social studies, such as teaching government and civics, while pursuing her dream of working in education. She supplemented her classroom teaching experiences by working part-time as a girls basketball coach, a technology integration intern, an attendant for the Kids Zone at the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey games, and a summer camp counselor in Downingtown. Ms. Sammarone worked at Downingtown East High School as a support staff member before coming to PALCS. She is a member of Rotary International and can regularly be found volunteering her time for causes around Chester County.
