Brief Biography: When she was a little girl in France, Madame Barlat wanted to become an English teacher there. Instead, she became a French teacher in America, an English-speaking country. Before coming to PALCS, she taught several years of French language and French civilization at the college level, and later taught French in several schools in the Pittsburgh area including Schenley High School.
