Education: Bachelors (Psychology – West Chester University), Master’s + (Elementary Ed. – St. Joseph’s University), Reading Specialist Cert. (Drexel University)
Brief Biography: Ms. McHenry has been a Reading Specialist since 2017. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (West Chester University) as well as a Master’s of Science in Elementary Education (St. Joseph’s University). She went on to earn her Reading Specialist Certification along with a Wilson Reading Systems Certification (Drexel University). Previously, she worked with students in the Upper Darby School District , Brandywine School District, Tredyffrin Easttown School District and she has tutored students privately in Reading since 2017. She has a passion for teaching Reading and Literacy skills and has worked with students of all ages to improve outcomes in Reading and Literacy. She enjoys running, yoga, reading and spending time with her family (husband Dan and two sons ages 14 & 17). She is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with students and staff from the PALCS community.
