Brief Biography: Ms. De Zelaya first became interested in the Spanish language during high school and then went on to take all the possible courses during college. She fell in love with the language and culture, spending a total of 5 years living in Latin America, 3 of those years in Honduras, where her husband is from. After returning to the US she pursued her Spanish teaching certificate; a few years later she received her M.A. from Immaculata University, along with her ESL specialist certificate. From 2018-2020 she studied at the University of Granada in Spain, where she received her second M.A. Before studying in Spain she had taught elementary, then secondary Spanish in the Great Valley School District. She is excited to be teaching Spanish at PALCS and looks forward to sharing her passion for the Spanish language with all her students. She and her husband have two adolescent sons and a cat.
