Brief Biography: Mrs. Humbert lives near Pittsburgh with her husband and two boys. She indicates that she “LOVES to read and make big messes! Baking is one of my favorite things to do, and I love to paint, sew, read, and build things.” She loves camping and traveling, particularly to the beach at Lake Erie and the ocean, and she also loves to visit museums. She and her family are very involved with Scouts and she currently serves as Cubmaster for her younger son’s Pack. In the summer of 2017, she completed Wood Badge (an adult leader training program) and was awarded special beads to wear with her uniform.
Mrs. Humbert loves to learn new things and share her love with her students. About working at PALCS, Mrs. Humbert says, “Cyber school is great! I taught at another cyber school for 10 years. Learning in the cyber world is tough and it is a lot of hours of hard work, but it is a great choice for families who travel or for students who don’t feel safe at their local school. Students are able to get to know each other and form friendships with students from all over the state. PALCS has a great program of social activities and field trips and I love to meet students on those trips!”
