Brief Biography: Coming from a family of teachers, Mr. McCartney always knew that he wanted to be an educator. Every year, he would assist his aunts and cousins with setting up their classrooms. Mr. McCartney would also volunteer to help them with grading their students’ assignments and quizzes. Once Mr. McCartney turned 18, he began to work at summer camp in Allegheny County. After graduating from Point Park University, he worked as a substitute and later a special education teacher in Florida. Mr. McCartney currently resides in Pittsburgh and looks forward to working with PALCS families and staff.
