Brief Biography: Mr. Van Etten comes to PALCS with years of prior teaching experience, having previously taught 6th grade at Bible Baptist School for seven years, a 3rd grade long term sub in the Northern York school district, and a year as an instructional aide in the Ephrata school district. Mr. Van Etten was a 5th grade teacher at PALCS for 4 years before moving into the role of Elementary Math Interventionist. Mr. Van Etten says that he loves to teach math and that he wants his students develop a growth mindset when it comes to solving math problems. “My goal is to help students build foundational math skills by solving math problems creatively and visually.”
