Many people are surprised that as a cyber school, PA Leadership still holds prom every year. Prom is an annual event students and faculty look forward to each year. It is a momentous occasion for all involved and this year was no different. Two proms are held, one on the East and one on the West part of the state.

On Saturday, May 13, 2017 a “Pittsburgh Party” themed Prom was held in the West at the Sheraton Pittsburgh at Station Square. PALCS students in grades 9-12 and their guests joined PALCS staff and teachers for a night of food, dancing, and Pittsburgh fun! The dance featured a buffet dinner, dessert, a DJ, and wifi photo booth.

On Saturday, May 20, 2017 a “Philadelphia Freedom” themed Prom was held in the East. PALCS students in grades 11 and 12 along with their guests, and faculty joined in for a night of fun at the Crowne Plaza Valley Forge located in King of Prussia, PA. The east’s prom featured a Philly-style buffet, a DJ, dancing, and even a selfie station.

Each dance had a wonderful turnout of students and faculty. The night was filled with dancing and memories that will last a lifetime. It is always so wonderful to get the chance to see PALCS students gather and interact with each other. We would like to offer a huge thank you to all the staff and dance committee members who put their time and effort into making these dances such a success and an enjoyable evening for the students. We would especially like to thank Mrs. Longstreth and Mrs. Kulp-Woodruff for all their hard work on organizing these wonderful dances, as well as the students and their families for sharing the evening with us and taking advantage of the opportunities to socialize with one another.

PALCS families come from all around the state and it is truly wonderful to be able to meet everyone and make genuine connections! We pride ourselves on making sure that PALCS is a safe place where you are free to be yourself. Our community is always so welcoming and we could not be more proud. Be on the lookout for upcoming events during the Summer months and coming up next year on the school calendar!
