Brief Biography: Ms. Nakaishi’s interest in education came from the values her parents stressed when she was young. “My mother always surrounded me with educational games, trips, and books,” she says. “My father instilled the belief in me that every child, has the potential to contribute a talent or something special, and as a teacher I try to seek out those special things in my students.”

Prior to coming to PALCS, Ms. Nakaishi worked as a private tutor, a camp counselor, a teacher’s assistant at Valley Forge Middle School, and volunteered in both the West Chester and Philadelphia school districts. Though she greatly enjoys collaborating with her fellow elementary teachers at PALCS, her favorite part of the job is working with her students. She exclaims, “It’s amazing how attached you can get to people who don’t even live nearby!”
