Mrs. Micki McAllister

Teaching: Elementary Art
At PALCS Since: 2008
Education:Master of Arts in Art Education, Kutztown University.
Brief Biography: Mrs. McAllister became a teacher because she wanted to share her passion for the arts and because she believes “the visual arts can serve as a gateway to teach about diversity and tolerance.” Prior to teaching at PALCS, Mrs. McAllister taught as a substitute in various school districts. She also has teaching experience with the Chester County Art Association, Historic Yellow Springs, and West Chester University.
“It’s exciting to be part of a new method of teaching,” she says, “and we are given opportunity for constant growth. Relationships with students develop differently than in a brick-and-mortar school, but in many ways are more meaningful in that I engage one-on-one with students.”
