Brief Biography: Mrs. Nicol’s inspiration to teach came from a summer job experience. “I ended up as a camp counselor one summer,” she explains, “and I loved it. That was when I knew I would enjoy teaching.” In addition to her recurring summer job at Camp Donegal, she was a medical technologist at Chester County Hospital for six years and taught at Renaissance Academy for one year prior to coming to PALCS.

At PALCS, Mrs. Nicol most values her interactions with her students. “I like that I can take the time to work with them one-on-one for as long as they need and answer any questions they might have,” she says. She also enjoys the amount of control over courses that PALCS gives its teachers. “I appreciate the freedom I have in my classroom to teach to my strengths and develop lessons as I see fit.”
