Daphne J. Longo-Okcuoglu
Photography Teacher


Daphne Longo-Okcuoglu is a fine art and portrait photographer who resides in the borough of West Chester, PA., with her husband, and 1-year and 7-year old daughters. Daphne is a BFA graduate of Tyler School of Art, and has a Masters Degree in Photography and Art Education from New York University/ International Center of Photography. Daphne has been teaching high school art and photography for the last fifteen years, as well as camp and adult programs

Her fine artworks are photographic images; often digitally altered, painted, and collaged; and have been in gallery exhibitions throughout NJ, NY and PA. Daphne’s recent works include a wide variety of fine art and commercial photography techniques. Some of her large scale works are computer altered photographs concerning the human body and our connection to nature.  In recent years her work was chosen to be in the Perkins Center for the Arts in NJ, and The State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg.

Daphne operates a portrait photo studio called ‘The PHOTO ROOM’ / www.thephoto-room.com, located in the borough of West Chester. Her studio specializes in children/baby, family, and maternity portraiture (some of which are collaged onto wood, reminiscent of “Madonna and Child” portraits and Renaissance painting).  Daphne’s studio offers many other services including: commercial product photography, wedding photography, and artist’s slides.
