Student Spotlight: SaJorden Miller Wins Cadet of the Year

SaJorden Miller, rising eighth grader at PALCS, was named the female Cadet of the Year at the PA State Police Troop B Camp Cadet program graduation on Saturday, July 25.

Camp Cadet is a summer camp run by the PA State Police department for Pennsylvania children, ages 12-15. Troop B covers Allegheny, Fayette, Green, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties. The week-long camp introduces law enforcement and criminal justice activities to youth while they experience the atmosphere of State Police Training School.

To receive Cadet of the Year, Ms. Miller demonstrated that she was an upstanding cadet, displayed good teamwork and excelled in leadership and physical activity. She will now participate in the 2010 State Police Commissioner's Honors Camp next summer at the State Police Academy in Hershey, tour the Capitol, the governor's mansion and state police headquarters in Harrisburg.

Congratulations, SaJorden!
