The Math Department |
| The Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School's math department is focused on providing the finest and most innovative math instruction in the cyber-environment. Our goal is to prepare students for higher education and to use their math skills in practical day-to-day ways. The math department utilizes curriculum from Holt, Rinehart and Winston and each student is provided with a suite of books including a hardcover textbook, workbooks and notebooks. Teachers use that curriculum as a guide to create engaging and interactive lessons that meet Pennsylvania State Standards. Additionally teachers reach students through regularly scheduled chats where they can see their math in action. Students find chats the most helpful way to practice problems under the helpful eye of their teacher. Through a combination of great lessons, interactive web-based activities and helpful teacher chat room guidance, students have the ideal environment in which to succeed. |
