The Elementary Departments

The K-6 Elementary Department consists of passionate, committed, and PA-certified professional educators who believe in cyber education and aim for strong student results.

Kindergarten – Third Grade

Our lower elementary grades of K-3 offers a rich array of academics and electives, including Language Arts, Math, Science and Technology, Social Studies, Music, Art, and Health, Safety, and Physical Education.

The academic success of our students is largely the result of parent and teacher dedication and involvement with the educational process. Teachers develop their own lessons using a standards-based curricular foundation, uniquely crafted with teacher creativity, innovative ideas, and up-to-date technology.

Virtual classroom sessions and educational field trips allow for direct teacher-student interaction and opportunities for peers to connect. We offer opportunities to individualize for student’s needs and ultimately strive to make a difference in the lives of our students and families.

Fourth Grade - Sixth Grade

Grades 4-6 are an important transitional period where students still need the support and guidance of their Home Facilitator but where greater independence is emerging.

In our department we have both a classroom setup where one teacher covers all four core courses and a team approach where two teachers share the four core subjects. Whether a homeroom or a team approach, our teachers are intimately involved with their students and their education.

Lessons are creatively developed by each teacher using a variety of sources that go beyond the standard textbook and workbooks found in traditional classrooms. Yes, we provide textbooks but we also incorporate state of the art online vendors, videos, and web links. We can even use our own PALCS television studio.
