Project Description

Teaching: High School Math

At PALCS Since: 2014

Education: Bachelor of Science in Education, West Chester University

Brief Biography: Mr. DiFerdinando was drawn to teaching because of his immense interest in learning. “Mathematics particularly stood out for me because understanding math allows you the opportunity to reveal hidden structures underneath the complicated and chaotic surface of the world,” he explains. “Helping others has always been a passion of mine. I don’t view myself as a teacher, but as an educator who sees the potential in every student and an individual who is determined and willing to go above and beyond to offer the type of quality education that each and every student deserves.”

Before coming to PALCS, Mr. DiFerdinando worked at the Lincoln Center for Family and Youth. Now with PA Leadership, he states, “I am looking forward to working with a great team of people who can take all of our individual ideas and put them together to create the most engaging lessons and curriculum that can be offered to our students.”

Mr. DiFerdinando is a very dedicated and enthusiastic person. “I love to learn new things and as a result I tend to travel quite a bit. I’ve been all over the United States and recently returned from a cruise that went to Venice in Italy, Kotor in Montenegro, and Santorini, Katakolon, and Athens in Greece.”
